Trip Details

Annapurna Base Camp Trek is also known as Annapurna Sanctuary Trek; easier and beautiful trek in Nepal. Annapurna Base camp lies in the heart of mountains and at the head of the Modi River.

The Annapurna Base Camp (Sanctuary) Trek incorporates diverse culture, wildlife, and beautiful terrain. It is a miracle of ice-sculpted peaks gathered in an almost complete circle, providing a close-up view of the Annapurna Himalaya range and the Dhaulagiri range. In spring, the colorful and beautiful rhododendron flowers bloom.

This trek starts from rice field terraces and gradually goes up to glaciers, reaching the Annapurna base camp at 4,130 meters, at the bottom of Mt. Annapurna. It offers top-to-bottom views of Annapurna I, Annapurna glaciers, icefalls, and many other mountains.

The sub-tropical forests are inhabited by monkeys and deer, and singing birds can be heard in the spring. There are colorful woods of rhododendron, oak, maple, walnut, and pine, as well as bushes of bamboo and forests of alpine trees.
